After operating Blumers Bakery (the oldest New York deli in San Diego) for six years, we decided to open a unique restaurant in San Diego. Our challenge was to serve healthy delicious food. With that goal in mind, we began creating the right menu. Naturally, chicken was the answer. Using only quality chickens raised without hormones or preservatives, we spit roast them naturally over fire in an old fashioned recipe of herbs and seasonings. The result is a juicy and flavorful chicken. In 1991, we decided to merge Blumers Bakery with the ChickeNest. The result was the ChickeNest Restaurant & Deli. In addition to our unique rotisserie chicken we serve most of your favorite New York delicatessen and bakery foods. Our menu includes a variety of foods such as; lox, blintzes, corned beef, pastrami, brisket of beef, stuffed cabbage, latkes, freshly baked rye bread, matzo ball soup and much more. All our food, as well as our soups, salads, bread and dessert are made in small quantities to ensure maximum freshness. We are committed to making sure that your dining experience is the best in quality and value. But the bottom line is, our food speaks for itself.
