my experience with Jeromes could be compared to something straight out of a horror novel. I purchased a bedroom set on 9/4/10 for my daughters 18th birthday. Upon scheduling the delivery for that evening I was informed that the dresser/mirror were back ordered it would be two weeks before they could delivery. No problem. Furniture was delivered that evening and we found that the chest had a paint flaw & I was sold a box spring that should not have been sold to me because it was a sleigh bed, so I told them to do the exchange when my dresser/mirror came in and the box springs was returned that evening. On 9/17/10 I called to check on my order and was informed that I would received a call on Monday 9/20/10 to schedule the delivery. I did receive a call that Monday to ask if I wanted the box springs. Then I was informed that my back order was not going to be in until sometime in October. I stated that this was unexceptable and wanted to talk with a manager. I talked with the manager and he stated that he would do his best to try and see if the mfg. would ship before October. A miracle happened the very next day. I received an email asking to schedule a delivery my back order was in. So on Saturday 9/25/10 a delivery truck showed up (time quote 3pm - 7pm) at 7:45 pm. The chest's top drawer did not open correctly and the dresser's mirror leaned forward. I made a comment regarding the mirror and was told that he did not have the parts to fix, but showed me how my husband could fix the mirror. As the driver was leaving he informed me that his truck was leaking a LITTLE oil and he put something under his truck to catch the oil. So I thought okay and didn't think anything of it until the next morning when my husband found that the LITTLE oil was about a quart of black oil on our driveway and had dirt throw on top. From 9:30 until 1:00 we tried to get someone from Jeromes to call us back regarding the oil spill, the mirror and chest defect. Finally we drove to San Marcos and confronted the management who stated that they knew nothing about our phone calls. We were assured that someone would be out on Monday to fix our driveway and that they would also schedule a someone to fix the mirror and exchange the chest. Monday received a telephone call from the company that owns the delivery truck and who also was going to clean up the oil mess. He stated that he had an emergency and could not come. I returned the owners call and stated that it needed to be taken care of no later that Tuesday because the oil had been sitting on the driveway since Saturday. The exchange and repair was scheduled for Tuesday 9/28 between 6pm - 8pm. On my way home from work I received a call (5:30pm) that the driver had an emergency and could not be at my house until after 8 and it would be between 8-10 pm. I called management and they assured me that the driver would be at my house before 8. Upon the arrival of the driver I noticed that he had a mirror in his hand and I asked why was he bringing a mirror and he stated that he was exchanging the mirror and dresser. Red Flag!!!! What about the chest that's drawer doesn't work, I don't know I have an order to replace the dresser and mirror. DONE WITH JEROMES RUN CUSTOMERS RUN AS FAR AS YOU CAN AWAY FROM JEROMES!!!!!!!!!! On Thursday, 9/30 between the hours of 6pm and 11pm the furniture will be going back to Jeromes. Hmmmm we'll see if there is another emergency.
