My mom had been going through boutes of orange and purple hair at Fantastic Sams and she NEEDED to get away from them. My mom does not like change (same haircut for 60 years), but now she can count on her hair not coming out like Mrs. Slocum from Are You Being Served.

I'm so pale I'm practically see through and Heather was able to give me a nice glow. I was concerned about looking orange as it was my first spray tan experience and opted for the lighter formula. I was so impressed I knew I could go darker and still look natural even on my ghostly self.

BEST Waxing Silk Skin Waxing

My first waxing experience was by a "famous" Brazillian lady in AZ. It was "eh," but I didn't have anything else to compare to. Eventually I switched to a large salon that specialized in waxing, but did hair, nails, massages, etc. and again the waxing was "eh." After years of being waxed and considering myself a veteran of waxing clients, I moved back home to Escondido and found Amy at Silk Skin.

Not only is she FAR, FAR, FAR better than any previous waxer, she's cheaper...by a lot! Amy does not leave a single sprig of a hair. She is fast (though we do fit in plenty of fun girl talk), clean and a joy to be around. Did I mention how much cheaper she is than ANY other place.

BEST Make-Up Brides by Brittany

I've been drooling over the flawless makeup Brittany has been doing for literally dozens of friends and family over the past few years. When I'm finally the one to be engaged, I will check Brittany's availability and plan the wedding around her schedule.

There is NO ONE else I would even consider having doll me up on my special day, but not soley because of Brittany's skill with makeup, her experience or because I've had the pleasure of knowing her since elementary school. Brittany has the most genuinely kind heart, it's obvious she enjoys surrounding herself with loving couples setting out to start a MARRIAGE together and not just have a wedding. Her positive energy is contagious, her heart is pure and her appreciation for life, love and happiness are undeniable. Those are the reasons I will be sure Brittany is part of my special day.
