The Armenian Café is one of my favorite places to eat in North County. It is perfect for an intimate dinner for two, a large party, and even for lunch! My favorite dishes are the Hommus-Meece Dip and the JaJek Dip ( also known as tza-tzi-ki) which are served with PLENTY of warm, delicious pita bread slices, then I always order the Chicken-Lemon soup and have to hold myself back from licking the bowl clean = ] it is soooo yummy!!! The Lamb Kebab Pita is also another one of my favorites, the meat is tender and juicy and always the perfect portion (meaning there’s plenty to bring to work the next day for lunch!) And as if that weren’t enough… they have AMAZING desserts, their baklava is absolutely perfect and not sickly sweet like most restaurants, they also have a baklava cheesecake that I have yet to try, but have heard its’ praises. If you want the full on Armenian experience, I suggest you go on a weekend night, when the belly dancers come and somehow coax you into getting up and learning how to belly dance with them! Two thumbs up in my book!!!
